Why Work With Me

Raising a puppy can feel overwhelming — especially when the advice online is conflicting and you’re not sure what’s actually right.

I break training down into clear, practical steps that work in real life — so you feel confident about what you’re doing.

As a PACT-accredited and ABTC-registered trainer, my knowledge and practical skills have been independently assessed — giving you guidance you can trust in an industry that isn’t always regulated.

All support is personalised and delivered in your home, tailored to you and your puppy.

Personalised Training for Every Stage

Teaching a puppy recall in Wallsend

Support from the moment your puppy arrives through to adolescence.

  • Puppy Foundations (8 Weeks to 5 Months) → For puppies who are biting, struggling to settle, or feeling like a lot right now — with support to make life feel easier

  • Teen Dog Support (6 Months+) → For young dogs who have started ignoring you, pulling on the lead, or feel like they’ve gone backwards

For dogs who are struggling with recall, lead walking, or general training habits that make everyday life feel harder than it should.

  • Recall Support → For dogs who don’t come back when called, or struggle to respond reliably around distractions.

  • Loose Lead Walking Support → For dogs who pull on the lead, feel inconsistent on walks, or need help building calmer everyday habits.

I'm Fiona, Owner of
Betsy's Dog School

I specialise in helping first-time puppy owners feel confident and clear about what they’re doing. My approach is calm, practical and broken down into manageable steps — so nothing feels overwhelming.

I’ll meet you where you are, adapt training to your home and routine, and support you every step of the way.

Training should feel achievable — not stressful.
