Training Sessions

  1. Our 1:1 Training Sessions last between 1 and 1.5 hours from arrival to departure, however, we base our sessions on quality rather than on the time allotted

  2. With your agreement during a session, you/your family and your puppy or dog may be photographed and/or videoed for research, training progress, and for upload onto Betsy’s Dog School website, Facebook and Instagram feeds. Please advise us if you DO NOT agree to this material being used for this purpose.

  3. While no guarantee can be made regarding individual results achieved by attending and/or participating in our training programs or packages, Betsy’s Dog School can guarantee the service that you receive. Results depend upon many factors, including (but not limited to); the dog’s behaviour, breed or characteristics, the dog’s previous history, effective management, the Client’s training ability and the Client’s commitment.

TRAINING POLICY

Our training is based on the kindest, most effective, non-punitive methods. We carefully design and structure our training programme/s to be the best they can for the dog and owner. We hope you enjoy the sessions as much as we love instructing them!

These policies are written in the interest of safety, responsibility and care for owners and their dogs.

By training with Betsy's Dog School, you are deemed to have accepted our Training Policy:

  1. Harsh handling is not permitted. We have a complete ban on choke chains and other coercive or punitive techniques, in accordance with the ABTC Code of Practice.

  2. Owners are expected to clean up after their dogs when in public places. All dogs must be kept under control and on leash in public areas (off leash only where specifically instructed by your Trainer). We are there to help but you are responsible for the conduct of your dog at all times.

  3. Betsy's Dog School will make every effort to ensure that you and your dog are kept safe whilst training with us. Nevertheless, Betsy's Dog School cannot be held liable for any loss or damage of your property, or the loss, injury or death of your dog whilst training.

  4. Calm & quiet Children are welcome to attend the training sessions, however, for the sake of safety and consistency in training, young people under the age of 16 MUST be supervised by an adult. Parents may wish to sit down with Children before a dog training session to explain how important it is for them to listen and be involved to prevent unwanted distractions during a session.

  5. Please let us know if your dog is not in a fit state to train due to illness, disease, injury or any other reason.

  6. All dogs should be wormed and fully protected by vaccination as advised by their vet.
